How to set up Spotify for lesson playlists

It’s so easy to download the free Spotify app and set up an account for free. Simply click on the link below and enter your email address and a password to open an account.

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/spotify-new-music-and-podcasts/id324684580

The Spotify playlist links are displayed under each class link on the Members Classes page. They will take you straight through to my Spotify playlists for that week. Just press the first track to start PLAY.

(If you like, you can upgrade to Premium and then you can also click on the arrow (toggle) on the left hand side of the playlist to download it, or any other music, so you can play stuff you like when you are offline too. Premium is also ad-free.)

Yoga & Pilates

Do you have any tips to prepare?

The suggestion is to wear comfortable, fitted exercise clothing. Most students opt for a tank top/tshirt, breathable leggings/tracksuit bottoms. We always work in bare feet. If you have the ability to connect to a speaker beyond your device, please do! Place your yoga mat with room to move and heat the room to keep your body warm. Be sure to have water readily available too and it can be nice to have a small cushion/folded towel/block for your head if more comfortable for your neck, while lying on your back, especially in Pilates or CoreFlow classes.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?

Always consult your doctor first.

What if I'm pregnant?

Please consult your doctor before participating and take appropriate modifications. Pre-natal yoga classes would likely be your best choice, and modifying restorative classes for much of pregnancy can also work for many people too.

How do I pay?

You can join as a member and access all the goodies that monthly membership provides.

What if my back/hip/little toe hurts?

Always consult your doctor first, and stop if you experience pain.

How do I get started?

You can follow the Yoga Basics videos I offer as part of the monthly membership to start with. It makes sense to choose the less challenging options for a while until you get up to speed.

Is it physical or will I be sitting around for ages?

My regular lessons are moving, fluid flows, Fairly dynamic but never strenuous. We usually start off with a gentle warm up, flow into some waves of standing poses to get the heart pumping, then we’ll take it down onto the mat. We always end with deep relaxation so you leave the class feeling revived and refreshed.

Should I practice at a certain time?

There is no right or wrong time of day to practise. The important thing is to practise.

Do I need to have practiced yoga before?

All sessions are open level but with the Energise classes there will be some level of general fitness and knowledge required. Each student is to listen to their bodies and work at their own pace.
